There are a lot of people who go camping. Most people over look safety tips when they go camping. Over looking safety is not a good thing to do because things can go wrong if a person isn't prepared. One of the most important things to do is to make sure food is in containers and not out n the open. Wild animals such as bears can smell food. The trash should also be contained because bears will smell the trash and go to the camp site. A person should never leave food or trash on the picnic tables or near the camp site. It is always important to be aware of the surroundings they are in because they are among wild life.

If a person is camping for a week they want to make sure they have the proper clothing. Most people don't think the clothes they wear can cause safety issues. Temperatures drop at night and can get very cold so it is important that a person brings a sweat shirt or sleeping bag to keep warm at night. If it gets real cold and a person doesn't have any of these items it can cause that person to get hypothermia.
